ABOUT
As far back as I can remember,
I always wanted to be a filmmaker
Since I was 9 years old every facet has fascinated me, from location scouting to lens selection, storyboarding to rigging squibs. I briefly thought about film school, but instead made several long-form films before hitting the road to Los Angeles
(I'm a big believer in hands-on experience).
Over the past 11 years I've had opportunities to work with various brands, companies, and independent artists as editor, director, and composer. My feature directorial debut was a neo-western thriller called
"To Hell and Gone", now available on
Amazon Prime and wherever else fine movies can be seen.
Personal creativity is of the utmost importance to me, and I am happiest when collaborating on large projects with others.
On the other hand...
My other lifelong love is the piano. I started playing professionally at age 7, Wednesday nights at David's Pasta in Joliet, IL for $10/hour and all the Shirley Temples I could drink. Playing piano is how I made ends meet until moving to Los Angeles where I transitioned into film (see above).
My advanced sight-reading skills and ability to play in any style/genre have assisted me through many various gigs including piano bars, fine dining restaurants, luxury hotels, musical theater productions, silent films, ballet companies, weddings, and vocal audition settings. I also enjoy composing as well as arranging, Logic Pro X being my platform of choice.

Additionally I was a member of the comedy band MISCELLANEOUS, and I continue to produce content for my Youtube piano channel, Kyle Moore Piano.
